Donette Gaines joined the Owenton First Baptist Staff in October 2026.
Donette was born and raised in Owen County, in a Christian home, where her family was very active in their small community church. Donette and her family made First Baptist Church their church home in 2004.
Prior to joining the staff at First Baptist, Donette had a long career in Owen County Schools where she served as teacher, assistant principal, and principal of Maurice Bowling Middle School. After 8 years as principal, she served as Director of Student Services and DPP before retiring in 2024.
Donette enjoys spending time with her husband Charlie, their two children and two grandchildren.
